Eclipse Runner — Support

Carry the last of the sun. · Help for the Eclipse Runner app on iPhone and iPad

Need a hand? Below are answers to the most common questions. If you don't find what you're looking for, email hitennsoni@gmail.com and we'll help.

How to play

  1. The sun went out, and you are the last lamplighter carrying what is left of it. Run, jump and climb your way down through the dark.
  2. Use the stick to move and the buttons to jump, dash, slide and pulse your lantern. A second jump works in mid-air.
  3. There are 120 levels across eight worlds, and each world ends with something that has to be beaten. Collect shards along the way, and find the pages hidden in the levels to read the account left by the runner who got furthest.

Frequently asked questions

My progress didn't carry over to my new device.

Eclipse Runner syncs your progress through iCloud. Make sure both devices are signed in to the same Apple ID and that iCloud save is on (Settings → iCloud save). Sync can take a moment after a level, so give it a little time before switching devices. If the row reads "Unavailable", the device is not signed in to iCloud.

I reinstalled the game and my progress is gone.

As long as iCloud save was on before you deleted the app, and you are signed in to the same Apple ID, your progress restores automatically a few moments after reinstalling. If it doesn't appear straight away, close and reopen the game once while connected to the internet.

I bought Pro or a shard pack but don't see it.

Purchases are tied to your Apple Account. If one didn't apply, reopen the game while connected to the internet, or use Store → Restore purchases. A purchase that was interrupted — the app closed mid-payment, or the connection dropped — arrives on its own the next time you open the game, and you are never charged twice for trying again. Still stuck? Email us with your purchase date and we'll sort it out.

What are shards for?

Shards buy you back into a run. When you are out of lives you can spend 25 shards to carry on from where you fell, rather than starting the level again. You find them in the levels, and a level pays out the ones you have not already been paid for — so replaying a level you have cleared will not farm the same shards twice.

How do I get a life without paying?

When you run out, the continue screen offers a short video. Watch it through and you get a life. If it says no ad is available, that is the ad network having nothing to show rather than anything you did — wait a moment and try again. You are never charged and never lose anything for trying.

How often do ads appear, and how do I remove them?

Ads appear after every second level you finish, and if you restart the same level twice. Eclipse Runner Pro removes those permanently — it is a one-time purchase and it also starts you with 300 shards. The video you choose to watch for a life stays available whether or not you buy Pro, because it is something you asked for rather than something done to you.

What are the pages I keep finding?

Ninety-seven of them are hidden across the eight worlds, in places you have to go out of your way to reach. Together they are the account written by the runner who got furthest down before you. Read what you have found under MEMORIES on the world map. The more you find, the further your lantern reaches.

I'm left-handed. Can I move the controls?

Yes. Settings → Game settings → Left-handed layout mirrors the whole control layout. The same screen also lets you turn off screen shake and haptics, show or hide the timer, and change the graphics quality.

Can I change the language?

Not yet — Eclipse Runner is currently available in English only.

Do I need an account or an internet connection?

No account and no login, ever. The game is fully playable offline. A connection is only needed for iCloud sync, for ads, and for Store purchases.

How do I reset or delete my data?

Settings → Reset progress clears the levels you have cleared, your shards and your abilities on the device, and with iCloud save on, the synced copy too. Anything you have bought is deliberately left alone — a reset clears your progress, not your purchases. For step-by-step instructions covering your device and iCloud, see the Delete Your Data page.
