Last updated: 24 July 2026 · Applies to the Memory Mason app for iOS and Android
In short: Memory Mason has no accounts and no logins. Your game progress stays on your device. We do not run analytics and we never sell your personal information. The app can show ads supplied by Google AdMob, and Google may use a device advertising identifier to do that — you can limit or reset it at any time in your device settings.
Memory Mason (“the app”, “we”, “us”) is an independent mobile game published by Hiten Soni. For any privacy question or request, contact hitennsoni@gmail.com.
The app saves your gameplay state locally on your device using the operating system's standard app storage. This includes your level progress and stars, points and hints, the theme you have chosen, your daily-challenge streak, and your sound, haptics and reminder preferences.
This information never leaves your device, is not transmitted to us, and we cannot read it. We operate no servers and no accounts for this app.
The app displays advertisements through Google AdMob. To serve, cap, and measure ads, Google may collect and process:
This data is collected by Google directly through its SDK. We do not receive your advertising identifier or IP address, and we do not build advertising profiles ourselves. Google's handling of this data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy and described further at How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
The app offers optional in-app purchases (for example removing ads, or point and hint packs). All payments are processed entirely by Apple/Google through their own billing systems. We never see or store your card number, billing address, or any other payment details. We only receive the confirmation needed to unlock the item on your device.
If you enable the daily reminder, the app schedules a local notification on your device. These are generated on the device itself — no push server is involved and no device token is sent anywhere. You can turn reminders off at any time in the app's Settings, or in your device's notification settings.
| Purpose | Data used | Who processes it |
|---|---|---|
| Saving your game progress | Gameplay state | Your device only |
| Showing and measuring ads | Advertising ID, IP, device info, ad interactions | Google AdMob |
| Processing purchases | Purchase receipt | Apple/Google |
| Daily reminder | Your reminder setting | Your device only |
We do not use your information for any automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with data brokers. Information is shared only with the service providers listed above — Google (advertising), and Apple/Google (payments) — strictly so the app can function. We may also disclose information where we are legally required to do so.
Depending on your region and your choices, sharing an advertising identifier for personalised advertising may be treated as a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act. Section 6 explains how to opt out.
Where the UK GDPR or EU GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases:
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, to object to or restrict processing, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. Since we hold no personal information about you ourselves, most requests are best directed to Google using the links in Section 2.2. You are welcome to contact us at hitennsoni@gmail.com and we will help where we can. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Memory Mason is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us at hitennsoni@gmail.com and we will delete what we can. Ads served in the app are configured for a general audience.
Gameplay data remains on your device until you reset progress or uninstall the app. Advertising data is retained by Google according to its own retention schedules, described in the Google Privacy Policy.
Our service providers (Apple/Google) operate globally and may process data in countries other than your own, including the United States. Those transfers are made under the safeguards described in their respective privacy policies, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
Your game data is held in your device's own app storage, protected by the operating system's sandboxing and, where you have enabled it, device encryption. No system can be guaranteed perfectly secure, but because the app stores nothing about you off-device, the exposure is limited to your own device.
We may update this policy as the app evolves — for example if a feature begins collecting data it did not collect before. The “Last updated” date at the top will always change when it does, and material changes will be highlighted in the app before they take effect.
